Rough Waters to Steer Through

The business outlook is bad, and you need one key member of the Board or senior team to pull with you to weather the storm, but that isn't happening.

When business was going well and the economy and other external factors were in your favour, it wasn’t so apparent that the differing personalities in the Board or senior management team were such an issue. At times it was a bonus!

But now, everyone's looking to you to lead the business through and just when you need the whole team to pull with you, there's trouble. And the rest of the Board can't help with this one.

Your pressing need is to turn the business round and to have the whole of your team working with you. You have identified one person who, if they would only work alongside you would make that task so much easier. You may have tried discussions, threats, cajoling or offering incentives but they are still not working with you and you don’t know why. Logical arguments certainly aren't having any effect.

You and the business really need this person. You must know how to progress, and soon.

What would it be worth to you and your business for all your team and this person, in particular, to be pulling with you? Give us a call to talk through possibilities for getting the two of you to get back on more productive terms with each other.

It is not so important who starts the game but who finishes it.
